Who are we? What do we do?

My name is Rahul Mookerjee, founder of Shristi Imports – a business that started as so many of them do, as a hobby-cum-passion, but quickly expanded into much, much more!

We are in the business of importing genuine ORGANIC teas (from mainland China), spices, coffee and more STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE.

While our business has been rapidly growing as of late, we started off importing TEA (and related items) from mainland China, and as of today, we deal with ALL different varieties of teas including but not limited to – green tea, jasmine tea, oolong tea, red tea, white tea, black tea, puh-er, and also PREMIUM styles of tea such as “Rare Chinese Treasure Tea”, “Mountain top tea (Shannxi province)”, Fenggang green tea with zinc and selenium (Guizhou province) – and many more!

Why organic tea?

Why us?

Well, when it comes to TEA – I have been in China for over 14 years, and have intimate knowledge of the various types of teas, their benefits, and most importantly, relationships built with suppliers to provide you with the BEST quality tea at very reasonable rates.

While it is common knowledge that sourcing from China (or any country, for that matter) has its pitfalls for the “novices” amongst us, this holds double true for tea, especially due to all the various different grades, types, tastes and flavors of EACH different type of tea – not to mention the difficulty of finding (and communicating with etc) an actual supplier located in mainland China that can give you the real deal.

We take care of all this for you though.

ALL you have to do is get in touch with us, and place an order – and we do the rest!

We handle the entire process starting from actual factory visits to confirming the order – processing sample orders – and then stringently testing quality etc after the production process. We will be most happy to get your tea shipped to your final destination in “mint” condition – no puns intended. 🙂

And as far as the rest of the stuff goes – coffee and the rest, it is the SAME.

We specialize in going straight to the source – visiting the factory – and thereby helping you avoid the scams that occur when dealing with suppliers based overseas (or misunderstandings) and more importantly, ensure that the quality of the items delivered to you is FRESH – and gets to you on TIME!
